When you think of an IT certification exam, the usual image created in one’s brain is rooms with many people and a question paper overloaded with the toughest questions of the world. But what about an exam which rather appears like a competition, where you sit in brilliant labs, face real world challenges and do brain storming to earn the the certification. Sounds cool right? Well today we bring to you 7 coolest IT certifications to earn!
7. Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) from Red Hat
A very popular and a very interesting exam. It is a practical exam of two hours where in you have to do all the tasks from the exam guide, like configure SELinux, setup HTTP and DNS server. 100 per cent practice.
6. GIAC Security Expert (GSE) from GIAC
The GIAC Security Expert exam is held in two parts. One out of the two is definitely boring, but second one is quite cool. The second exam is basically a two-day lab where you work with real problems using several operating systems (Windows, Backtrack, Fedora). You will be using sniffers, scanners and Metasploit to finish all the tasks.

The exam is a live Board Review with Cisco Certified Architects and Distinguished Engineers. After a few hours of talking and solving many surrealistic, high-level problems you can be a proud CCAr.

How to become a certified iOS/BlackBerry/Android developer? Easy, simply write an iOS application, browse through the source code and explain the general structure and functions of the major application modules. And after the end a supervisor will ask you to change your application. Real exam, for real developers.
3. SecurityTube iOS Security Expert (SISE) from SecurityTube
This one is a real cool exam. In order to become a certified iOS security expert, all you need is a jailbroken iPhone or iPad running at least iOS 5.1.1. The supervisor gives you a real iOS application. You install the application on your iPhone and you are expected to find all security vulnerabilities in 6 hours.
